0Review: I had the opportunity to see it in its world premiere in Toronto tonight where we were joined not only by stars but by Patti Lomax, wife of the real Eric Lomax, whose autobiography this film was based. The story is unique and interesting, and is told through a series of flashbacks to Eric Lomax, our protagonists (Firth) experiences WW2. As the movie goes sad locations (camps and drab apartments) is not the most visually exciting things to look at and editing / pacing leaves something to be desired - at various points, we find the current , rendering Eric Lomax (Firth) suddenly transported back to their camp in Asia, with nothing off the field for us to know if he traveled there (one ú, single plane shot wouldve done it), or, in at least One case is hallucinating. Still, a good story and well acted by Firth, with support from Nicole Kidman as his wife - even though the real show thieves are so young Jeremy Irvine Lomax and Hiroyuki Sanada as Nagase, the Jap translator if Lomaxs executioner.
